Taronga Zoo General Admission
With spectacular views over Sydney Harbour, Taronga Zoo is one of the most beautiful zoos in the world and is home to the largest native and exotic animal collection in NSW.
Visit Taronga Zoo and discover our five Asian Elephants at play on their earth mounds and swimming in their pools. Watch the spectacular QBE Free Flight Bird Show located in its harbour side amphitheatre, or be photographed next to koalas, giraffes, birds, seals and reptiles. See lions, tigers, bears and rare Snow Leopards!
Be among the first to explore the stunning new mega-exhibit, Great Southern Oceans, where penguins ‘fly’ through the water and sleek seals make a splash. Taronga Zoo’s newest attraction will take you on a journey from our beaches and coastlines, to the depths of the southern ocean where you will come face-to-face with a Leopard Seal as you gaze through the glass windows of the Underwater Research Station.
Home to Australian Sea Lions, Australian Fur Seals, New Zealand Fur Seals, Californian Sea Lions, Leopard Seals, Penguins and Pelicans the new 1.2 hectare exhibit provides an important and thrilling introduction to Australia’s marine wildlife.
Located just 12 minutes from the city by ferry, the zoo offers visitors a complete day out with free keeper talks and shows throughout the day.
How to get there: Taronga Zoo is building a bigger and better car park. During construction we are encouraging visitors to travel by public transport, so for the best way to visit us hop on a ferry, train or bus.
