Ticketek is one of the first companies worldwide to integrate mobile tickets with the new Apple Passbook. The Apple Passbook capability allows customers to organise their tickets and passes in one place for easy access, and is available to users of the new iPhone 5 as well as existing iPhone users who upgrade to iOS 6. When you purchase mobile tickets from Ticketek, simply open your ticket from the SMS you receive and tap 'Add to Passbook' on your iOS 6 iPhone to save your tickets to your Passbook. Passbook is time and location based, so any Ticketek event mobile tickets saved will automatically open and show on the iPhone lock screen when you arrive at the venue, making entry into an event with a mobile ticket even quicker and easier.
What is Passbook? The new Apple Passbook application allows you to organise your mobile tickets, boarding passes, vouchers and more in one place for easy access, and will be available to users of the new iPhone 5 as well as existing iPhone users who upgrade to iOS 6. How do I add tickets to the Passbook? Simply open your mobile ticket as usual from the SMS you receive from Ticketek. Tap "Add to Passbook" at the bottom of your mobile ticket. This will display a preview of the event pass with all ticket information needed to attend the event and the option to Add to Passbook. How to find your tickets once they are in Passbook? Once tickets are added to Passbook, simply open the Apple Passbook app. Locate your ticket by the Ticketek Logo and event name and tap on the event pass to view. Also tap on the 'i' icon at bottom right of event pass to 'flip' the ticket over to find extra transaction information. How do I select Mobile Ticket Delivery? Mobile Ticket Delivery can be selected via ticketek.com.au when accessing from either a PC or smart phone, or ordered through the call centre. Can ezyTickets be added to Passbook? No, only Mobile Tickets can be added into your Passbook. Do I need to add to Passbook to gain entry into the venue? No, you can continue to use your mobile ticket. This is just another way of conveniently storing and viewing your mobile tickets. How do I gain entry to the venue using Passbook? All mobile tickets stored in Passbook are also barcoded (but with a different 2D barcode). On arrival, simply present your mobile ticket for scanning to gain entry as usual. If there is no connectivity at the venue, can Passbook tickets still be accessed? Once you have added tickets to your Passbook, you will be able to access event passes at any time regardless of connectivity. In addition, Apple's Passbook is time and location based, so provided you haven't disabled the feature (in Settings or back of the event pass), tickets added will automatically open and show on the iPhone lock screen when you are within a radius of the venue and event time, making entry into an event with a mobile ticket even quicker and easier. Will I be notified of event / gate changes? Once a ticket is added to Passbook, you can the drag back of the event pass to initiate a manual update of details. How to remove tickets from Passbook? Tap the trash can at the top right of the event pass to shred the event pass.
