Prohibited Items

Unauthorised use of camera or recording equipment is strictly forbidden. You are welcome to enjoy your drink in our theatre spaces. However, if you are seated in the balcony or upper galleries, we require you to pour your drink into a plastic cup for safety reasons. In some instances, an artist or promoter will request a dry theatre, so when in doubt please ask an usher.

Lost Tickets

If you have misplaced your tickets or they have been lost in the mail, phone the Box Office and they can arrange for replacement tickets to be collected on the night of the performance.

Age Restrictions

Generally there are no age restrictions. However, for licensed areas a valid form of ID is required. Some events may have specific age restrictions. Customers are advised to check the event webpage for more information.

Box Office Information

Tickets will be available for pick up from Box Office 60 mins before the performance. Tickets can be posted to your nominated address for a fee. Delivery time may vary dependent on destination.

SPECIAL FACILITIES

Parking Spaces

We have five designated parking spaces are available for patrons with special needs. A lift operates from the Stores Building (car park level) to the Powerhouse Plaza where the main entrance to the Brisbane Powerhouse is located. For patrons who require assistance travelling from our car park to our theatres, Brisbane Powerhouse can make arrangements to accommodate your needs with 24 hours advance notice. A wheelchair can also be made available on request whilst the patron is visiting Brisbane Powerhouse.

Wheelchair Access

Wheelchair and special needs seating is available. Please notify Box Office of your requirements at the time of booking, a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Please note that balcony seating in the Powerhouse Theatre is not wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessible toilets are located on all levels.

Companion cards are accepted for events at Brisbane Powerhouse unless otherwise stated. Please advise that you will be using a companion card at the time of booking. Companion cards must be presented when collecting the tickets.

Hearing Loop

Please notify Box Office at the time of booking should you require a Hearing Loop. Our hearing loop has an earpiece that sits over your ear and may be used without a hearing aid.

TRANSPORT FACILITIES

CityCat

The New Farm Park CityCat jetty is a short 300m walk from Brisbane Powerhouse.

Bus

The 195 and 196 bus services stop at the end of Brunswick Street at Oxlade Drive, on the East side of New Farm Park. The 199 bus stops at Merthyr Road and Hawthorne Street. Both stops are a short walk away from Brisbane Powerhouse. For more information on public transit schedules and stop locations visit translink.com.au

Taxi & Limousines

There is a taxi collect and drop-off area located beside the Stores Building, in the car park. If you wish to order a taxi, there is a Yellow Cabs taxi phone located in the foyer, opposite the Box Office for your convenience. If you’re ordering an Uber, we recommend dropping the pin on ‘Brisbane Powerhouse’.

Parking Access

There is limited free-of-charge, all-day, on-site car parking at Brisbane Powerhouse. If you are travelling by car, please arrive 40-50 minutes early to secure a park. Additional free parking is available in New Farm Park accessible via our link road, which is opened after 5pm on performance days.

Cloakroom

Cloakroom facilities are not available.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted inside the venue. We have two designated outdoor smoking areas, one located at the front of the building, next to the Stores Building, and one next to WATT on the River Level.
