Striking, dynamic, and boundary-breaking jazz takes center stage at the UNESCO International Jazz Day 2025!
This year’s headline act, the Zela Margossian Quintet, blends Armenian traditional music with contemporary jazz, creating a rich, evocative sound that has captivated audiences at the International Women’s Jazz Festival, Sydney Festival, and London’s EFG Jazz Festival at The Barbican.
The night features Ciara Louise Ferguson, the 2024 COMA Emerging Jazz Writer’s Award recipient, performing ethereal, folky vocal jazz inspired by the beauty of the natural world.
In collaboration with UNESCO Adelaide and the Elder Conservatorium, the evening will premiere the Jazz Relay Composition, written by acclaimed South Australian composer Mark Ferguson and performed by Adelaide Edition.
Experience an unforgettable night of live music that celebrates jazz in all its forms.
2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Adelaide's UNESCO City of Music designation.
