Astral People & Handsome Tours present salute (AUT)

The endless summer returns with salute, the Vienna-born, Manchester-based DJ and producer who’s been steering dancefloors with their signature blend of garage, French house, and '80s synths—all delivered with the precision of an engine on a hot lap.

Returning to Australia and New Zealand in 2025, salute is no stranger to the southern landscape. Making their debut on Australian shores for Boiler Room: Melbourne, they left behind a live stream that quickly became a fan favourite, with mixes that propelled listeners forward—no map required.

Since then, salute has released their debut album, True Magic, a project that has taken their creativity to new heights. Written in collaboration with peers while retreating to a countryside house, the album merges ‘80s synths with the quirky charm of Japanese car adverts. It brings a cinematic concept to life—engines roar, cheers rise, and producer Felix Nyajo shifts effortlessly between French touch, glitchy house, jungle beats, UK garage, and soulful samples.

Raised on beats from SX Tricky and FIFA Street 2 soundtracks, salute’s initiation into the UK club scene at 18 was a game changer. After moving to Brighton and then Manchester, they immersed themself in the pulse of grime, garage, and dubstep, refining a sound that is now unmistakably their own.

Live, salute has built an impressive catalogue, from a scorching set at Coachella’s Do Lab to four standout performances at Glastonbury, including a back-to-back set with DJ Boring. Not to mention the viral Boiler Room Melbourne set, which has racked up over a million views on YouTube—a testament to their magnetic stage presence and ability to electrify a crowd.

This summer, salute is bringing their energy back to Australia and New Zealand with a series of shows in February and March. These performances aren’t about reaching a destination or crossing a finish line; they’re all about enjoying the ride.
