Malaysia’s 800-Million-Stream Singer-Songwriter DIOR Dai Ying Expands Her World Tour to Australia

‘KAMPUNG GIRL’ World Tour Heads to Sydney and Melbourne This August

Following the successful staging of her KAMPUNG GIRL concerts in Genting Highlands, Sarawak, Penang, Singapore, Taipei, and Bali, Indonesian, Malaysian singer-songwriter DIOR Dai Ying is taking her acclaimed tour to Australia. She has officially announced performances in Sydney on 25 August and Melbourne on 27 August 2026.

DIOR Dai Ying made her official debut in 2020 with the single Love Yourself More Deeply. She has since released a string of well-received songs including How Have You Been Lately?, If That Phone Call Had Been Answered, We'll Meet Again Someday, Different Blooming Seasons, We Only Stay Awake for Around Ten Thousand Days, Love Conservatively, This Lifetime of Ours, and It's All About Connections. With her heartfelt songwriting, emotional honesty, and authentic personality, she has steadily built a loyal fanbase and widespread critical acclaim.

Her breakout hit Divorce in the Republic of Ghana ranked No. 2 on Spotify's 2024 Global Most-Streamed Mandopop Songs chart. If That Phone Call Had Been Answered was recognised in Douyin × Soda Music's 2024 Music Discovery Awards under the Contemporary Pop Playlist category. Earlier this year, she was also honoured with the Top 100 Artists of the Year award at Taiwan's 21st KKBOX Music Awards.

In June 2025, DIOR Dai Ying was invited by Spotify to serve as the EQUAL Ambassador for Malaysia and Singapore. As part of the campaign, she appeared on the iconic digital billboard in New York's Times Square, advocating for gender equality and women's empowerment. According to Spotify Wrapped 2025, her catalogue has surpassed 70.4 million streams, reaching 4.2 million listeners across 183 countries, further cementing her growing international presence and global appeal.

A Debut Arena Tour Dedicated to Her Late Mother — Six Cities, Seven Shows, Completely Sold Out

In December 2025, DIOR Dai Ying launched her first large-scale solo concert, KAMPUNG GIRL, at Resorts World Genting in Malaysia. The concert was not only a heartfelt tribute to her late mother but also a defining milestone in her musical journey. Through her music, she hopes to present her authentic self, sharing the story of a girl from a small town who followed her dreams to the centre stage. Each song reflects her personal experiences and creative journey while encouraging ordinary people who continue striving in everyday life. As she puts it, “I have always believed that the most moving stories come from the most ordinary people. That is exactly what KAMPUNG GIRL is about.”

Within just six months, the KAMPUNG GIRL tour travelled to Sarawak, Singapore, Taipei (two shows), Bali, Indonesia, and Penang. All seven performances across six cities sold out almost immediately after tickets went on sale, demonstrating her remarkable popularity and setting a new benchmark for Malaysia's new generation of Mandarin pop artists. The Bali concert marked the first outdoor performance of her career and concluded with a spectacular fireworks display. She also became the first Malaysian Mandarin singer to stage a solo concert in Bali.
