Christopher Nolan's Oscar-winning epic as it was meant to be experienced - the complete film screening above the stage, while a 65-piece orchestra performs Hans Zimmer's complete score live beneath it. When the organ opens up, you don't just hear it - you feel it.

With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history: travelling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars. Matthew McConaughey stars as ex-pilot-turned-farmer Cooper, alongside Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine and Jessica Chastain.

Zimmer built the score around the pipe organ - and at the organ for every Australian performance is Roger Sayer, the organist Zimmer chose to record the original soundtrack. The voice you hear in the film is his, and in Adelaide he plays it live.

After sold-out performances across Europe, the first Australian tour opens at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Sunday 14 March 2027 - one night only - then travels to Melbourne before culminating at the Sydney Opera House over the Easter long weekend. Adelaide hears it first.

Some films are made to be played with an orchestra. Interstellar is one of them.
