SHIVER returns 9–18 January 2026 for a school holiday edition perfectly timed for families.

Tasmania’s only real ice rink is back at MyState Bank Arena, offering 90-minute public sessions every day, plus Sensory Sessions, Adults Only After Dark, and Teen Sessions with a live DJ. Whether you’re new to skating or a regular on the rink, it’s the perfect way to enjoy something refreshingly different these summer holidays. Real Ice. Real Skates. Real Fun.

Monday 12 January & Friday 16 January | 10:30am – 12:00pm

Our Sensory Sessions are designed to provide a relaxed and comfortable skating experience for guests who prefer a calmer environment. During these sessions, lighting is softer, music is lowered, and crowd numbers are limited — creating a welcoming space for individuals and families seeking a gentler way to enjoy the ice.

Whether you’re new to skating or returning for another spin, it’s a great opportunity to enjoy the magic of SHIVER at your own pace.

Saturday 10 January & Friday 16 January | 6:30pm – 8:00pm

Grab your mates and hit the ice for our Teen DJ Sessions — where skating meets summer beats! Glide, spin, and laugh your way around the rink to a live DJ set featuring your favourite tracks.

It’s the perfect way to kick off the weekend, meet up with friends, and enjoy SHIVER in a fun, safe, and upbeat atmosphere designed just for teens.

Saturday 10 January, Thursday 15 January, Friday 16 January & Saturday 17 January | 8:30pm – 10:30pm

Round up your friends and enjoy a night on the ice at our Adults Only After Dark sessions. With great music, a lively atmosphere, and food and drinks available to purchase from the bar, it’s the perfect way to unwind and try something different these summer holidays.

Whether you’re skating for fun or just there for the vibe, SHIVER After Dark brings a social twist to Tasmania’s only real ice rink.
