Secret Sounds has today announced that British alt-pop star Holly Humberstone will make her highly anticipated return in 2027 after a successful run of shows across Australia last year. The upcoming tour, her biggest Australian shows to date, follows the release of Humberstone’s sophomore album Cruel World, a bold new chapter that builds on her signature blend of intimate storytelling, brooding alternative-pop and atmospheric production.
Joining her is the uber-talented Holly Hebe, who was warmly embraced by audiences during her shows with Humberstone this time last year.
Holly Humberstone has emerged as one of the UK’s most distinctive alternative-pop voices, known for her deeply personal songwriting, atmospheric production and vivid story telling. Her breakthrough EP Falling Asleep At The Wheel launched her from her family home in Grantham onto the world stage, followed by The Wallas Are Way Too Thin and her critically acclaimed debut album Paint My Bedroom Black. In 2022, Humberstone was named the BRIT Rising Star, further cementing her status as one of Britains most exciting emerging artists.
Her latest album, Cruel World, marks a new chapter, exploring love, identity, adulthood and a changing sense of home. Sonically, the record blends nostalgia with body, festival-ready alternative pop and was written with Humberstone’s live band and audiences firmly in mind. Having performed at Coachella, Glastonbury and Lollapalooza, supported Sam Fender at St. James’ Park UK and Australia, and joined Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium, Humberstone continues to grow into an increasingly assured live performer and songwriter.
