Chrissy Amphlett, the legendary rebel-queen of Australian rock is reimagined in this electrifying new cabaret.

Chrissy Amphlett had raw talent, stage conquering charisma and a rock’n’roll rasp. Fronting Divinyls, she took the band from the sticky carpets of Australian pubs to dizzying heights of chart success around the world.

Brought to life by the extraordinary Sheridan Harbridge (Prima Facie), she channels Chrissy’s raw energy and blends anthemic hits with intimate anecdotes.

Co-created with multi-award-winning director Sarah Goodes (Julia), this is a dive into the heart of an artist ahead of her time.

Don’t miss this kaleidoscopic tour when Amplified comes to the Comedy Theatre this March.

“A richly woven piece of entertainment, honoring Amphlett’s legacy” - Stage Whispers

Amplified was commissioned and developed by the University of Melbourne Arts and Culture (UMAC), with support from Geelong Arts Centre and is produced in association with Jacaranda Productions.

Please note, this performance contains coarse language and mature themes.
