As Australia’s oldest continuous writers’ festival, Brisbane Writers Festival has a long and storied history of connecting communities, showcasing creativity and finding just the right words.
Each year, we welcome thousands of readers and writers to Brisbane to celebrate books, spark ideas and start conversations. With a diverse program of author panels, speeches, performances and more – including our schools and YA programs for younger readers. Brisbane Writers Festival has a story for everyone.
Things to note when purchasing your Brisbane Writers Festival 2026 tickets:
- Please note there is a ten (10) minute timer when transacting tickets. Please head to the Brisbane Writers Festival website here to plan your schedule before you purchase tickets through this page.
- Please note you will not receive your ticket/s at the time of purchase, these will be issued closer to the event date. Please also note only mobile tickets will be available, if you are not able to present a mobile ticket on the event day, please call our box office for assistance on the details below. Please note, you are still able to purchase your tickets online as you will not receive your tickets until closer to the event, and contact our box office with your booking reference ready for assistance.
- If you or any member of your party have any accessibility requirements, please contact our box office before purchasing tickets so they can assist you with seating arrangements if required.
- To purchase Bundles, please head to your selected Bundle page and select the sessions you wish to attend, and proceed to checkout. Please note all tickets purchased through a Bundle will be General Admission (seated).
- If you see the message 'Allocation Exhausted' on an event page or when purchasing a Bundle, this means this session is currently sold out.
