If you wanna party, New York live electronic duo Fcukers have today announced their Australian return this December for three sweat-soaked shows across Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
This Australian run celebrates Fcukers’ debut record Ö - produced by modern maestro Kenneth Blume, released in March - spanning eleven tracks of heart-pounding, instantly addictive dance music built for the club and beyond. One track heads toward glossy, maximalist pop; the next into skittering breakbeats or a dancehall-tinged groove, before landing somewhere rooted in classic house. It’s a full night out captured in one chaotic, unrelenting capsule, and it landed five stars from DORK, four stars from DIY and NME, plus an outpouring of support from Vogue, New York Times and - locally - high rotation from triple j, Double J and across community radio.
Since exploding onto the scene, Fcukers have become mainstays of the underground club scene and the global festival circuit as they grace stages across Glastonbury, Coachella, Primavera and Lollapalooza and finish the nights in sweaty basements such as Paris’ Silencio and Berlin's Panorama Bar in Berghain. Earlier this year they were able to debut their brand of nonchalant dance rock on US Television with a performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. It can only be said that moments like these, alongside sold-out tours in the US, UK and Europe have caught the eyes of their peers, leading to incredible moments supporting Harry Styles across three sold-out nights in Brazil to over 200,000 people, playing along side RÜFÜS DU SOL at some of their biggest shows to date and opening for Tame Impala’s ‘Deadbeat’ tour. Those nods include getting the party going whilst DJ’ing at Charli XCX's GRAMMY afterparty and Madonna's Club Confessions in New York.
