IRTYU is the Ancient Egyptian word for blue; the colour of the heavens, representing divinity in ancient times. For me, it also means "I really, truly yearn unconditionally" (an acronym of my own creation).

As I constantly adjust, blur out and re-adjust to the chaos of the world around me, finding a way to work within its many warped systems whilst simultaneously standing outside them to observe and comment on the madness; and to create artful activity which brings people peace and beauty; I return to this truth. I really, truly, yearn unconditionally.

IRTYU is the name of my next studio release and my show for Brisbane Festival will be the debut performance of this work in full.
