The Patsy Cline Songbook celebrates one of the greatest female vocalists of all time. Few singers of her era achieved more hits, and none had a greater or more lasting impact on both country and pop music. With her rich, booming voice, Patsy Cline could fill a room, awaken hearts, and stoke imaginations. Nearly 60 years after her untimely death on March 5, 1963, Patsy Cline remains more popular than she was during her lifetime. Born into poverty and raised in a broken home, Patsy endured a long, hard road before finding supporters like Ott Devine, who brought her to the Grand Ole Opry, and Owen Bradley, who helped her record the songs that not only secured her fame but redefined country music. In 1973, "The Cline," as she affectionately called herself at the height of her career, became the first female artist inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Join renowned Australian country music recording artist Victoria McGee and her multi-award-winning show band as they take you on a journey back to the 1950s in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, to relive the magical career of Patsy Cline. McGee is celebrated for her remarkable ability to pay tribute to the undisputed Queen of Country.
