(This production will be presented in Polish)
Moralność pani Dulskiej (The Morality of Mrs. Dulska) by Gabriela Zapolska is a timeless satire of social hypocrisy. Mrs. Dulska obsesses over appearances, hiding scandal behind closed doors. Her son, Zbyszko, rebels but ultimately conforms, while others – servants, daughters and neighbours – reflect varying degrees of moral compromise. No character is truly innocent.
Zapolska exposes the dangers of living for show, urging audiences to confront false virtue. Scena89's adaptation adds a modern twist, reminding us that 'Dulski-ism' still exists – and must be challenged.
